We aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 working days. UK orders are normally sent via 24 hour courier which will need signing for, or by Royal Mail 1st class.
International orders are sent by reputable couriers and normally take 3-5 days, dependant on the destination country.
All returns must be authorised by McDonald Automotive Ltd
Please call or email us for authorisation within 14 days of receipt of the items before returning any items for refund or exchange.
Please ensure that all items returned to us are packed suitably and to the same standard as they were received. Items received by us damaged in transit due to poor packaging will not be refunded.
A full refund will only be given if the item is unused, in re-sellable condition and with its original packaging. Carriage charges will only be refunded if McDonald Automotive is at fault.
If we arrange for our courier to collect the items, please ensure that the parcel is available for collection on the agreed day as each failed collection attempt will be charged for.
Incorrect Parts Received:
If we have supplied incorrect parts due to our own error, then we will arrange collection at our expense or refund postage costs incurred by the customer to the same value as our courier.
If you have ordered the wrong parts or they are no longer required, then you will have to pay for the return postage and the original postage cost will not be refundable.
Reconditioned units carry a surcharge (or deposit) that is charged at the time of purchase. This surcharge will only be refunded if the old unit is returned to us, complete, drained of any oil and in suitable condition for remanufacturing, within 21 days.
Faulty or Unserviceable Goods:
If an item is faulty or you believe any part of it to be unsuitable, it may be returned to us for inspection. Certain items may need to be returned to the supplier/manufacturer for further inspection. If found to be faulty or unsuitable, we will issue a full refund for the item in question. We will not be held liable for any other expense incurred e.g. removal/refitting, recovery etc.
This process can take time and a refund may not be issued until the item has been inspected and confirmed as faulty. We will happily supply a replacement item, which will need to be paid for in full, until an outcome has been decided.
Please note: if the fault is found to be from incorrect fitment, failure of another component/item or, where electrical goods are concerned, due to faulty wiring, then a refund will not be issued.
